The Volkswagen name belongs to Volkswagen AG and is one of many brands the Volkswagen Group owns. Further makes include Audi, Skoda, Seat, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. As everyone knows, the first Volkswagen was the “Beetle”, which was developed at the time to provide every citizen with an affordable means of transportation. This philosophy was so successful that it proved possible to continue to produce the “Beetle” right up until the end of the 1970’s until the equally successful “Golf”, finally took its place. Volkswagen continues to manufacture vehicles in all classes for all generations down to the present day without ever losing sight of the quality standards set by the “Beetle”.
