Adam Opel GmbH is a German automobile manufacturer. Previously a public limited company, the company has belonged to the US automobile group General Motors since 1929. In 1931, General Motors took over Opel in its entirety. Opel has continued to provide a broad range of products down to the present day, and the brand still enjoys great popularity.
